Andrew Beaty, P.Eng.

Andrew is a Professional Engineer from Vancouver, Canada. He has over 15 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of water system infrastructure including onsite wastewater (septic), water treatment systems, rural water supply & distribution, and major pump stations.

Andrew is registered with BC’s directory of sewerage system professionals and an active member of the Western Canada Onsite Wastewater Management Association of BC (WCOWMA).

Our Work Process

Professionally engineered design of your septic systems requires site visits, detailed engineering and planning, and commissioning support.

Step 1 - Site Visit

West Coast Septic will complete a detailed site and soils assessment of your property. These typically take between 2-6 hours.

Step 2 - Design

The detailed engineering and reporting phase typically takes 3-4 weeks.

Step 3 - Commissioning

West Coast Septic will complete site reviews as required for commissioning of the newly installed system.

Shuswap Lake Subdivision

2025

West Coast Septic is providing engineering and overall project management for onsite wastewater systems for a large 30+ lot subdivision near Shuswap Lake.  

Whistler Blackcomb Water System

2025

Vail Resorts required an upgrade to the water supply and treatment system for one of the on-mountain restaurants.  The project includes design of new water supply and treatment system components, correspondence with Health Authority engineers, and site visits.

Lakelse Holding Tank

2025

A sewage holding tank is required at a lakefront property with horizontal setback challenges and nearby watercourses.  Health Authorities have varying requirements and guidelines for holding tanks.  Northern Health requires holding tanks to be equipped with High Water Level Alarms that shut off water supply to the residence, to prevent sewage backup and health hazards.

Marine Drive Golf Club

2025

Marine Drive Golf Club required upgrades to several washroom facilities located on the course itself.   The new onsite wastewater disposal systems will require long sand mounds to address soil conditions and seasonal high water table  challenges.
